"The Angelicum Academy has adopted the Little Latin Readers program for it's homeschooling Latin students. This is an excellent program, deeply rooted in Catholic culture and the great books thereof, including Sacred Scripture, the liturgy and the great authors of the Church and the West. There are multiple levels, which may be purchased as sets. Each level has a Latin Reader, pronunciation audio, Workbook, Drill Book and Teacher's Guide including Lesson Plans, Tests and Answer keys - a complete program. Students also receive a daily audio email with a brief Latin lesson or tip. The whole series basically replaces Wheelock I, and students who complete the series and wish to proceed further in Latin would next go to Wheelock II. We recommend the series for elementary school - any grade, with the aim of finishing it by the end of 8th grade - but this is a very flexible timeline (Angelicum students who wish to take a live class, may wish to read about it at Latin, under the Enrichment Courses tab, below the Academics tab on our homepage.
